YOUTH COACH OF THE YEAR - DARRYL MAHER
1/09/2009
The Taylors Lakes Football Club are pleased to announce that the Western Region of the Australian Football Coaches Association has bestowed its highest award honour on DARRYL MAHER as 'Coach of the Year' in the highly competitive 'Youth' category featuring secondary school-age children (ages 13-19).
 |
Each year the Australian Football Coaches Association (AFCA) asks for nominations from 48 member clubs for their 'Coach of the Year Award' and the selection criteria to recognise the significant contribution of coaches in the development of football within the region. Darryl's job as coach is to develop player potential, enhance team skills and foster competitive spirit and desirable attitudes through training and game play.
Stan Alves was the guest presenter and speaker, along with Peter Daicos, Victoria's women's Captain Shannon Mc Ferran, Brad Gotch Williamstown/Bulldogs and AFL Victoria CEO Peter Schwab
We congratulate Darryl on a wonderful achievement. |
